For our last Write-Out of the year, we met inside a cozy, nature-inspired cafe lounge overlooking Puget Sound. With plenty of comfy seats, a fireplace, and the company of other local writers, this serene setting was the perfect place to spend a cold, rainy day with dedicated, focused time on our WIPs!

A mini writing retreat that took us out of the woods and onto the water! On this Plein-Air Prose event writers were inspired and rejuvenated by spectacular maritime, mountain, and island scenery from a different perspective -- aboard a ferry across Puget Sound and along the waterfront of Bremerton, WA, with focused writing session on both land and sea.

A moderate hike through part of an extensive, diverse trail system in northwest Seattle. In between getting our hearts pumping with a vigorous workout, we stopped at various points for timed, focused writing sessions surrounded by the intriguing trees, lush plants, and active birds of this coastal forest along the Puget Sound.

On this leisurley walk around a hidden little gem of nature in northeast Seattle, we stopped at various points for timed, focused writing sessions surrounded by trees, plants, water, and wildlife. We also had additional fun activities to further spark creativity and increase productivity!

The Plein-Air Prose Posse met at a different natural area in Seattle every Wednesday during the month of August for FREE "write-outs" to spend dedicated, focused time on our writing projects, outdoors, in the company of other local writers. We worked on a variety of projects: memoirs and other nonfiction, novels, and more!
